INTRODUCTION: 

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A MILLIONAIRE?

YOU could be the next MILLIONAIRE!  The Departments of Tourism for the Latin American countries are awarding $1,000,000 to the individual who creates the most dynamic presentation to entice tourists to visit their country.  Using the internet and other available resources, you will travel around the country of (assigned by teacher) taking photographs and gathering information.

The person presenting the most outstanding advertising campaign for their country in each of the following areas will be awarded $1,000,000!

TASKS:

• Photo Journalist – travel scrapbook

• Cartographer – maps

• Historian – newspaper

• Tourist - postcard

• Researcher – research paper

• Famous Movie Star – infomercial

• Tour Guide – brochure instructions

• Tour Guide – brochure layout

• Media Specialist – PowerPoint presentation

Science and Math connections to be included in advertising campaign:

• Earth Science Explorer – children’s book on country biomes

• Money Exchange – menu prices in American and country’s monetary system

You will record your information/pictures on the  traveler’s graphic organizer (paper and/or electronic) and save them in your suitcase located in your computer folder.

 Get your suntan lotion, camera, and “cool” clothes and get ready for take off.
